Accurate Pitch Shots

Looking for a reliable way to hit accurate pitch shots? Today I am going to talk about allowing the lead or left arm to fold to gain accuracy while pitching.

At address position your weight over the left side. Setup with the usual grip or in some cases weaken the left grip a little bit. On the backswing turn back and cock the wrist just a little bit to steepen the angle; the club head must travel on a downward path to impact. On the way forward turn and let the arms come forward. Focus on the left arm or lead arm on the way through the shot. Notice the left arm collapse as it and moves across the left side. It does not stay straight into the follow through. Notice your weight remains on the left side throughout the swing. Again, turn down, collapse the left arm as it moves across the left side. Notice what happens to the club face. The club face stays in that nice square position facing up to the sky into the finish. This method keeps the club face square to the target longer increasing accurate pitch shots.
