Golf Shots and head Swiveling
Hi Dave Cahill here in beautiful Palm springs California at our Cahill Golf Schools and today we are going to talk about a very simple thing you can do address to increase your golf shot consistency. You will notice that i am standing with my head straight up and down and all we are going to is a simple head swivel left and right with my headstable in other word I am not cocking it up and down. Going into a golf address position we can swivel our head either left or right. Now as we got to an address position notice i put my head exactly straight down and then I take a back swing notice my head swivels back and this happens to every body. And when you get into that position at the top of the back swing and look at this notice where my eyes are focused. My head is turned back. the only eye I can see the ball with is my left eye and now i can only see the ball with my peripheral vision. From this position our perspective on where we are in space and where or target is becomes disturbed and we now have to imagine what direction our target is and the direction we should be hitting our golf shot in. It would be much more ideal if we can get in a position where both of our eyes are looking straight down using our binocular. How are we get in that position at the top of our golf swing? Or even close to it at the top of our golf swing. That is exactly the golf tip I am going to show you here. Instead of starting with our eyes focused straight down we are going to swivel our head in the direction of the target. So look at this so now with our head swiveled toward the target at address. our chin down, I have not tipped my head up but simply swiveled my head. I am in this swiveled position in the direction of the target. When i take my golf swing my eyes are now looking straight. My binocular vision is looking straight down I have a very clear perspective of where my target line is, where I am in space. I do not have to imagine where my target is. This ends up being a very important golf address position. This is something yo can do to create more consistent golf shots. Try this at home using a mirror.
