Hold the Horizontal Angle All the Way to the Ball

When I take my backswing and I am on plane this is my plane line. The plane line in this case is the club plane angle (horizontal angle) established at address. Remember the angle is formed by the position you place your club at address, the line from the hands on the club to the club head positioned behind the ball and then the line of the ground.

If I hold the shaft’s angle parallel to the plane angle all the way to the ball (backswing and forward swing to the ball) I am going to hit more consistent shots. The angle of the plane/shaft line (in my case 45 degrees) is the same throughout the forward swing. As long as the angle remains parallel to the club plane angle it can vary somewhat above or below the plane line itself. Ultimately the club must return to the club plane line established at address.
